Jody graduated with a B.S. in Biology from Bucknell University with a concentration in Business, and from Rutgers Medical School as a Physician’s Assistant. She started her working life in the medical and pharmaceutical industries. Jody focuses her practice in the areas of comprehensive financial planning and wealth management for individuals and closely held businesses using a goal-based, holistic approach to their finances. She focuses in the areas of retirement and estate planning strategies, having obtained a Certificate in Retirement Planning from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. She received the “Women’s Choice Award” for Financial Advisors from 2014 through 2023, highlighted in USA Today, as one of the top 100 advisors for women in the United States and is a multi-year Five Star Wealth Manager awarded by NJ Monthly Magazine. She recently completed the Columbia University Credentialed Holistic Financial Coach Course.

Jody has been working with Family Law Attorneys and Mediators for over 15 years providing insight into the financial issues surrounding divorce to assist individuals in achieving a fair and equitable settlement, but most importantly to assist in making decisions that give them a clear view of their future and a path towards achieving their life goals. She helps them feel empowered to move forward towards a brighter future.

Jody is a CDFA® (Certified Divorce Financial Analyst) and belongs to the New Jersey Collaborative Law Group. Jody is active in the Financial Planning Association of NJ and lectures at the Institute for Continuing Legal Education and the Women’s Center at Morris County Community College. She is the CEO and Board Chair of Community in Crisis; a non-profit dedicated towards taking the stigma out of addiction, working on prevention and education around the heroin/opiate epidemic and providing sobriety support to individuals struggling. She is a member of the Morristown Chamber of Commerce and is a frequent contributor to the Star Ledger business section and nj.com. She has been quoted in Barron’s, the Wall Street Journal, Money Magazine and cnn.com online. Jody received the Statewide YMCA “Social Responsibility Champion” Award and the Freedom House “Citizen of the Year” Award in 2015 for her work with “Community in Crisis” and the Women of Leadership Award by the Boy Scouts of America in 2016. She was awarded the “Hometown Hero” Award from the Somerset County Commission on Women, the AXA “Hearts in Action” and the Invest in Others, “Catalyst Award” winner in 2017. Jody received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Somerset County Y in 2018. She is active with St. James Church and enjoys tennis, paddle tennis, swimming, walking her 2 dogs, reading and traveling but mostly spending time with her family at the Jersey shore.
